DBeaver 26.0.2 is a maintenance release focused on usability fixes, startup reliability, and database compatibility improvements. While it is not a major feature drop, this update addresses several friction points that affect daily database work, especially around connection handling, spatial data viewing, workspace startup behavior, and vendor-specific database support.

What Changed

The Navigator received two practical fixes in this release. Copy and paste behavior for active connections has been corrected, and users once again have the option to show or hide system objects while using Simple view mode. These are small but meaningful improvements for teams that rely on cleaner object browsing and quick connection management.

In the Data Editor, DBeaver fixed an “Access blocked” error in the Spatial Viewer that occurred when loading OpenStreetMap. This should improve reliability for users working with geospatial datasets and map-based inspection workflows.

On the application side, DBeaver also resolved issues where Git and Proxy settings could break the workspace path, as well as a problem with -con attribute handling when launching the application from the command line. These fixes matter for enterprise environments where proxy configurations, version-controlled workspaces, and scripted launches are common.

Database-specific changes make up a large part of the release. Athena now uses the AWS Athena JDBC driver as the default, while keeping the prior option available as Athena (Legacy). MariaDB corrected a bug where zero dates were shown as NULL. MySQL added MANUAL to the keyword list and fixed user management behavior. Oracle now auto-selects the default schema correctly again and restores navigation from procedures to the relevant package body line. SQL Server also received a driver update, continuing the broader compatibility work in this release.
