MindsDB v26.1.0rc1 Expands Integrations and Improves SQL Compatibility

MindsDB has released v26.1.0rc1, a release candidate focused on broader integration coverage, stronger SQL engine compatibility, and smoother knowledge base creation workflows. The update introduces several new third party connectors, expands HubSpot support, and tightens query behavior across MySQL, MSSQL, MariaDB, BigQuery, and API handlers.

What Changed

This version adds several new integrations, including a Raindrop.io handler with full CRUD support and full test coverage, a Denodo integration handler, and a Freshdesk integration. MindsDB also introduced a ClickHouse data catalog, giving teams more options for working with external data sources inside the platform.

Existing integrations received meaningful upgrades as well. The HubSpot handler now has improved CRUD operations and adds support for Leads, while Jira functionality was updated. GitLab support was also expanded with additional configuration compatibility, and the Datastax documentation was refreshed for better clarity.

On the SQL side, v26.1.0rc1 improves platform compatibility and reliability. The release adds more MySQL API tests for broader coverage, fixes MariaDB tests, improves MSSQL query result conversion and schema scoping, and updates MySQL get_columns schema scoping for better compatibility. BigQuery also gains new parameters for increased control and flexibility, while API handler queries using the IN filter now behave more consistently.

MindsDB also added support for streaming data from data handlers, a notable architectural improvement that could help with more efficient data processing and ingestion workflows. In addition, get_integration performance was optimized by fetching directly from the database.

Why It Matters

The most important theme in this release is ecosystem expansion. By adding connectors for tools such as Freshdesk, Denodo, and Raindrop.io, MindsDB is making its platform more useful in operational environments where teams need AI and analytics workflows to connect directly with business systems, support tools, and content platforms.

The SQL-related fixes are equally important because they improve trust and portability for teams using MindsDB across different database environments. Better schema scoping, broader test coverage, and more consistent query behavior reduce friction for developers embedding MindsDB into production data stacks.

The knowledge base improvements also stand out, especially for non-OpenAI scenarios. That suggests continued work toward making MindsDB more model-agnostic, which is increasingly important for enterprises evaluating multiple AI providers and deployment strategies.

As a release candidate, v26.1.0rc1 appears to be less about headline-grabbing features and more about strengthening the platform’s reliability, integration depth, and deployment flexibility before a broader stable release.
